Frank Purdy has been advising business
owners for over thirty years. He began his
career with Hunter Group CPA LLC in 1972,
and is currently a Director of auditing and
accounting with the firm. A graduate of
Tennessee Technological University, Frank
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting.
Over the last thirty years, Frank has been
an advocate for ongoing improvement of
auditing and accounting best practices, both
for the New Jersey State Society of CPAs and
on the national level for the AICPA. He has
served on numerous committees for these
organizations, from quality control to
banking, and completed a four-year term
serving the AICPA Peer Review Committee. He
also served as chair for the Auditing and
Accounting Committee of CPAmerica
International, a nationwide association for
mid-sized certified public accounting
firms. Currently, Frank serves on the NJ
State Board of Accountancy Quality
Enhancement Committee. He is also often
called upon by our banking relationships to
provide collateral audit services.
When not helping his financial,
construction, manufacturing and real estate
clients, or serving on the firm’s
family-owned business services team, Frank
is active serving on several civic and
not-for-profit organizations. He is past
President of the Paramus AM Rotary, and a
current member of the Ridgewood AM Rotary.
He has served on the board of the Ridgewood
YMCA and is the past Chair of the Midland
Park Planning Board. Frank is also past
treasurer and trustee for the Friends of the
Hermitage, a prominent Bergen County
historical organization.
