Mr. Mathers is a Certified Public Accountant
in the State of New Jersey and is currently
Director of the Tax Services Department of
Hunter Group CPA LLC. Mr. Mathers, a former
managing partner of the firm, is a graduate
of Lehigh University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Accounting.
Bob Mathers has over 35 years of experience
in the practice of Public Accounting. His
experience includes having full
responsibility for planning, coordinating
and supervising
tax services for
multinational and domestic corporate
clients, as well as individuals and
partnerships. Mr. Mathers is also a
frequent instructor at local, regional and
national continuing education courses within
the profession.
Mr. Mathers is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
New Jersey State Society of Certified Public
Accountants, while currently serving on the
International Tax, Estate and Gift, and
Insolvency & Reorganization Committees. He
is a Past-Chairman of the NJ State Tax and
Personal Financial Planning Committees and
previously a member of Federal Tax, Emerging
Issues, and Interstate Taxation Committees.
Mr. Mathers has assisted the New Jersey
Governor's Management Review Commission as a
member of their task force. He has been an
instructor for both New Jersey Society of
CPAs and American Management Association and
currently serves on the tax executive
committee for CPAmerica International, Inc.
Bob Mathers is often interviewed for income
tax advice in print as well as on television
and radio news programs in the New
Jersey-New York Metro area media.
Active in his community, Bob Mathers has
served as President of his local Board of
Education, Boy Scout Troop Committee and
served on several appointed study teams and
committees for local and county government,
as well as on boards of charitable and
business organizations.
